The objective was to create a completely outsourced training solution that would not only be self-funded, but establish a separate revenue stream for CommScope through the sale of training to business partners and customers. This partnership has been maintained thanks to the strong relationship forged between the two companies, as well as the development of a training passport scheme offering discounts to CommScope’s most committed business partners.
Another success arising from the partnership has been the development of a fully branded training site called the CommScope Infrastructure Academy. Using their customisation training platform, this site sits alongside CommScope’s existing website and supports online courses, webinars, videos and even materials for classroom training.
The financial and logistical efficiencies of the symbiotic relationship between the two companies has largely been fuelled by CommScope’s acquisition activity, allowing Cabling Science to bring fragmented training budgets and localised courses into one globalised training delivery system. By re-branding and centralising all existing training materials, Cabling Science has been able to develop a standardised syllabus and student qualification for all of CommScope’s business partners. This has led to the establishment of a centralised training budget funded solely by course sales, allowing for more financial accountability and control.
